Sargon is interfaced with six possible external static solvers (ALGOR, SAP80, SAP90, SAP2000, UNIVERSAL FILE compatible as GT-STRUDL, FEMAP compatible as NX or NE NASTRAN) and equipped with five possible internal solvers:

CLEVER for static analysis (sparse);
CURAN LIGHT for nonlinear static (material nonlinearity);
LEDA for modal analysis;
SPECTRUM for response spectrum analysis;
SOCLEVER for second order effects;
FREQUENCY for frequency response.

The internal solvers are all very efficient solvers and not derived from SAPV, having been programmed by Castalia from beginning to end.

In the picture above: a Glass facade supported against the wind loads by a pre-stressed cable steel structure, which resembles the sail of a ship (new Casalpusterlengo City House Offices). Please note the discontinuities of the displacements along the vertical border where two glass-panes meet, supported by a couple of steel cables (Sargon Model and Analysis by Paolo Rugarli).

Choice of the analysis
Response Spectrum Analysis can be executed with any possible spectra or with the spectra provided by the standards (Eurocode 8, ASCE 7 (IBC), NTC, user spectrum). Modal effects can be combined using different methods, like SRSS, modal amplification method, CQC, special sign corrections).
